We offer our members access to the 2nd tier market with all its advantages at dealable inter-bank prices with no dealer intervention. IFXTAG is not a trading company. We evaluate trading companies, their platforms and practices. Based on our expertise and experience to some of them we grant our IFXTAG Seal of Approval.

There are plenty of online foreign exchange platforms. One is more attractive than the others, with the list of features and functions several pages long. Charts and graphs, looks and feels, risk management tools and accessibility. Don’t forget tight spreads and no commission. They do not mean a thing unless they offer live interbank dealable prices, instant execution, no dealer intervention and no requotes!

Did you know that most of all the major proprietary trading systems, and probably all the systems that are being marketed to “price makers” have one very distinctive feature, — they have a dealing desk with market making capabilities? Sounds reasonable, right? This is the foundation of the forex business, after all. Well, yes and no.

Most dealing desks have the following features:

Negotiation Mode. Enables the Dealer to switch instantly from auto dealing to negotiation mode with the option of selecting either the whole trading platform, or by currency or individual account. In plain English – REQUOTE!

Price Feed Manager. Enables the Dealer with a click of the mouse, on any given currency pair or cross, to change the spread and disconnect the price or shift from the market price at the expense of the individual trader’s profit.

Think for a moment. Most of the principal retail Forex trading companies claim that they have no dealer intervention. Pretty much “what you see is what you get”. But when IFXTAG explored this issue further, the most common response was: “Well, 90% of the time”. Or: “That only applies to 90% of our accounts”.

Can you and I be sure that on any given day or on any given position we take, we will not fall into the unlucky 10%?!

We need and demand a different dealing practice, based on our user base. We do not want the dealing desk traders to take positions against clients. This is IFXTAG’s primary objective!
